My name is Katie, I am a 22 year old artist born and residing in Pittsburgh, PA and study graphic design at Community College of Allegheny until the Fall of 2024. Art has been my life since before I can remember, and I got my start with digital art in 2010. Since then, I have expanded my art to all forms of exploration. I draw inspiration from from the subtle frailties cast away in our picture perfect lives, particularly moments of vulnerability that exemplify the emotional journey into our unknown futures. The path into the unknown skates between the tangible and intangible within my work.
Graphic design emerged in my life as a surprise two years ago when the pandemic interrupted my plans to go to school for painting, and I found myself returning to the digital art community for solace. The methodological approach to design fulfilled my desire for craftsmanship and concept, as well as my desire to build a personal space to my liking, while avoiding the pretention fraught in the fine arts world. When I'm not working on a project, you can find me roller skating, hiking, or exploring the city and the rich array of artistic communities.
